About Mustafa Omar

Mustafa Omar is the founder of Muslim Psych Therapy and brings a unique combination of professional expertise and personal experience to his practice. He holds a Bachelor of Science with a major in psychology and has studied neuroscience. He is a certified counsellor, psychotherapist and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) practitioner. Mustafa has also completed advanced training in mindset and life coaching and is a registered NDIS behaviour therapist.

In addition to his clinical qualifications, Mustafa holds a Master’s degree in Islamic Studies from Charles Sturt University. He has also studied counselling from an Islamic perspective with international Muslim Institutions. This dual foundation allows him to integrate Islamic principles with psychological evidence-based therapeutic practices.

Mustafa’s personal experiences further enrich his practice. He has managed chronic pain conditions for over a decade, experiences stuttering, and understands the challenges of social anxiety and low self-esteem. Drawing on these experiences, he has developed specialised programs, including "Beyond Chronic Pain," a 3-month intervention designed to help individuals manage chronic pain and regain control of their lives. He also offers a stuttering program to support individuals in overcoming social anxiety, trauma, and self-doubt.

Outside of his professional life, Mustafa enjoys tennis, swimming, coastal walks, and travel, all of which reflect his belief in maintaining a balanced and fulfilling life. He is deeply committed to helping his clients unlock their potential, overcome challenges, and achieve a life of purpose and well-being.

Telehealth &

Online Consultations

We offer Telehealth and online video-based consultations to make therapy accessible and convenient for you. These real-time sessions allow you to connect with us from the comfort of your home or any private space, ensuring ongoing support wherever you are

Cancellation Policy

We understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes plans change. If you need to cancel or postpone your appointment, we kindly ask for at least 48 hours' notice. Appointments cancelled without sufficient notice or missed without communication will incur a $70.00 cancellation fee.

This policy helps ensure availability for other clients and values the time set aside for you. Please note that late arrivals will not necessarily lead to extended sessions, this is to maintain other client scheduling commitments.
